Definitely not the best cut for shorter women. I'm 5'3" and the dress goes down to the middle of my shins. It's not horribly long, but definitely not the cut represented in the photos. You can hem the bottom up a bit, but it's still an inconvenience. The fabric is not as stiff as I thought it would be, and has a bit of stretch to it. The bust is great! I have a larger chest (46H) and it actually fits pretty well! The shoulders are also sized correctly and don't feel like they're restricting movement. The zipper isn't really necessary, but does give the dress a more grown up feel.
